Dapo Abiodun Assumes Office, In Closed Door Meeting With Perm. Secs, Head Of Service, Service Chiefs

ABEOKUTA - Barely 24 hours after sworn-in as Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Thursday assumed office at the Governor’s office, Oke – Mosan, Abeokuta, as the fifth democratically-elected governor of the state. 

Abiodun arrived the Oke-Mosan governor's office at about 9:30am, the governor was received by the Head of Service of the state, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu and went straight to inspect guard of honour mounted by the men of Nigerian Police Force.

The Governor immediately moved around some ministries including Civil Service Commission, Finance Ministry, Ministry of Chieftaincy Affairs, Office of the head of Service and Deputy Governor's office. 

The governor after the inspection, at about 10:58am engaged the permanent secretaries in a closed door meeting at the office of the Head of Service.

After three hours of the meeting, Service Chiefs including FRSC State Commander, Nigerian Prisons, Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration service, Nigeria Customs Service, Director of DSS and the Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama also arrived the governor's office to meet with the governor. 

Meanwhile, as at the time of filing this report, details of the meeting with the Permanent Secretaries remain unknown.
