Abducted RCCG Pastors: Gov. Abiodun Talks Tough On Banditry

ABEOKUTA - Following the abduction of five pastors of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ogun State, the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has read riot act to bandits to steer clear of the state, as the new government will not tolerate any form of  criminality. 

THE ENCOUNTER NEWS reports that, five victims were kidnapped by armed men on Friday along Sagamu-Benin expressway.

But according to police on Saturday, all the kidnapped victims were rescued unhurt from their abductors by operatives of the Ogun State Police command.

Governor Abiodun warned that, his government would not tolerate any form of crime in the state, saying the state government has put all necessary machineries in motion to stem the growing security challenges to the mud. 

The governor who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Emmanuel Ojo maintained that, no meaningful investment can strive in the state without adequate provision for safety of lives and property of the citizens. 

He therefore applauded the Nigerian Police for maintaining due diligence and high level of professionalism in rescuing the victims without any calamity. 

Governor Abiodun assured the security agencies in the state of the state government's support in providing necessary equipment to combat security threat in the state.
