Olota Attends Egba Traditional Council Meeting In Abeokuta

ABEOKUTA - The Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege on Friday attended the monthly Egba traditional council meeting held at Ake palace ground  Abeokuta.

The Egba council meeting comprises of Obas from Abeokuta, Ifo, Ota, Isheri, Agbado, Itori, Owode, Odeda, Ijale Papa, Isaga, and many other towns.

The Olota, despite his recent public outburst that he was never under the consenting authority of Alake of Egbaland, has continued to attend the monthly council meeting in Abeokuta presided by the permanent chairman, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo.

According to a palace source, the Ota monarch and nine other Awori traditional rulers stormed the Ake palace ground around 10am on Friday to pay homage to Oba Gbadebo in his chamber  before proceeding to meeting auditorium within the Ake palace.
