Ogun Musicians Preach Against Don't Drink And Drive Campaign, To Honour Notable Nigerians

ABEOKUTA - Conference of Ogun State Musicians (COSMUS) will on Monday, December 30, 2019 unveil the "Don't Drink and Drive Campaign" as parts of its corporate social responsibility. 

The COSMUS President, Mr. Segun Sowunmi said the objectives of the group is to promote decent driving within the community through indigenous music.

Sowunmi while speaking with THE ENCOUNTER NEWS on Thursday explained that, the association in the year running out will bestow on some distinguished Nigerians award of honour. 

According to him, the award ceremony will also feature the unveiling of the association's 2020 calendar.

He added that the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun is the Special Guest of Honour, while the Special Adviser to the Governor on Government House, Hon. Babatunde Olaotan is special guest of honour and Oba Kolawole Sowemimo, Olu-Owode Egba is the Royal Father of the day. 

Meanwhile, the Conference of Ogun State Musicians has congratulated Governor Dapo Abiodun for his victory at the Supreme Court. 

According to him, "the good people of Ogun State should expect a more robust leadership that is focused on developmental strides as a reciprocation of their strong support for the Governor during the trying days of legal battles".
