Police Arrest Physically Challenged Cult Leader With 300 Wraps Of Indian Hemp In Ogun

ABEOKUTA - Police in Ogun State said it has arrested a physically challenged man, Ibrahim Aremu for being in possession of about 300 wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.

The suspect was arrested following an information received by the Police at Enugada division about his activities as a leader of cult group who have been terrorising Itun Seriki community, Totoro Abeokuta. 

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi hinted that, the suspect is also a big time dealer of illicit drugs and that his cult group always uses his abode as their meeting point from where they do plan how to carry out their notorious activities.

Oyeyemi added that, upon the intelligence gathered, the DPO Enugada division mobilized his men to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested while some of his accomplices escaped.

He said about 300 wraps of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp was recovered from him.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and prosecution.
