20years Old Students Anniversary: Sowunmi Heads Committee To Honour African Church Grammar School Students

ABEOKUTA - As parts activities marking its 20th anniversary, the Old Students Association of African Church Grammar School, Ita-Eko, Abeokuta, Ogun state is set to honour students who dress smart with the school uniform.

The Chairman of the "Well Dressed Award Committee", Rotn. Segun Sowunmi said the motive is to maintain the standard the school is noted for and instill morality among the students. 

Sowunmi, a pioneer President of Klub 940 explained that, the 20th anniversary will hold towards the end of the year, but the well dressed award for the students will be done this term. 


Also speaking, the incumbent President Klub 940, Mr. Muiz Adegbenro said they observed that neatness culture among the students which is one of the uniqueness of the school is dwindling away, hence, the need to organize the award. 

Adegbenro added that, the award is one of the essential ways to give back to the school. 

"African Church Grammar school is noted for the cleanliness which happened to be one of the uniqueness of the school."

He commended efforts of the National President of African Church Grammar School Old Students Association in person of Mr Wale Olutayo to revive and maintain the glory of the school cannot be over emphasised which the award will also contribute and attest to growth of the school.


"Klub 940 will be marking her 20th anniversary and its essential to start by giving back to this school. We hope this little gesture will inspire the students, make them more committed on there cleanliness which will impact the general country.

"We hope to make this an annual event to help promote cleanliness across board."
