Tarre Agbereowi
ASABA - There was pandemonium in Agbor community in Ika South Local Government area of Delta State at the weekend, following an outcry that foot-soldiers of  Igbe/Irinmiotor, a native cult group in the locality, had killed two persons, including  a pregnant woman.

Reports said the victims were killed and dumped by the roadside, thereby causing palpable tension.

It was had that police in the area have arrested several cult suspected members but upon interrogation and investigation, highly placed persons allegedly intervened to secure their release.

The incident which took place around the Benin-Asaba Agbor expressway, occurred at wee hours of the day while the owners of the corpses were still to identify them at press time.

Sources said one of the victims, a pregnant woman who was a garri vendor, was stranded on the fateful day she was attacked.

The sources further revealed that the Igbe/Irinmiotor cult group attacked the victims because their core family members had invited a Pentecostal pastor to destroy Igbe/Irinmotor shrine stationed in their family compound.
