Lockdown: 6,400 Households To Benefit From Second Phase Of Relief Package In Abeokuta South - Shomide

ABEOKUTA - Chairman, Transition Committee, Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. Ayodeji Shomide has disclosed that, not less than 6,400 households will benefit from the distribution of the second phase of the relief package donated by the state government.

Shomide who embarked on the distribution of second phase relief materials to the vulnerable and aged residents in the council area on Saturday, said the exercise was in accordance with the state government directives to ensure even distribution of food relief package to households that were not covered during the first batch especially the vulnerable and the aged.

Hon. Shomide therefore, commended the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for the release of second batch, promising that the committee would ensure transparency in the distribution process.

He noted that, the committee has identified the number of polling units in each different wards so as to help them in the distribution process.

According to him, "We are to reach out to 6,400 households, but today, we have been able to reach out to 4,000 house holds and I want to promise that by tomorrow everybody will be given with no bias."

Shomide therefore urged residents of the council area not to panic, as the team will reach every households.

He enjoined the residents of the state to continue to support the administration of Prince Dapo Abiodun for better opportunities during the lockdown.
