ABEOKUTA - A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Iperu-Remo, Ogun state, Mr. Akintunde Temitope Armstrong has described the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun as the architect of modern development in the state.

Armstrong, in a six paragraphs eulogy to commemorate the 60th birthday anniversary of the governor, noted that, the governor has transformed his visions for the state into reality within one year in office.

He said, "Your actions have inspired many of us to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are indeed a leader.

"You have transformed those lofty visions you have for Ogun State into reality. Smart leaders know what they don’t know. Learning is a constant process throughout life, and it doesn’t stop when you’ve become a leader.

"You've taught us never to stop looking for opportunities for development, and that we should pass on the wisdom we've learnt to your people.

"As a good leader, you have gone down the untraveled path, trailbazing in some cases. You are bold in the face of uncertainty and has given us that sincere courage and motivated us to keep striving when the going gets tough.

"In your words, you don’t lead by pointing and telling people some place to go. You lead by going to that place and making a case, this is what you have indeed shown by example.

"Let me end this with the words of Theodore Roosevelt " The best leader is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and the self-restraint to keep from meddling with them while they do it.”. That's who you are."
