ACOMORAN President, Apelogun Protests Against Rape Of Young Girls, Women

ABEOKUTA - The National President, Amalgation of Commercial Motorcycle Owners, Rider, Repairers Association of Nigeria (ACOMORAN), Prince Adebayo Apelogun has frowned at raping of young girls and women in the country.

Apelogun in a lone protest with placard inscriptions such as; #stopRape, #RealMenDon'tRape, #StopSexViolence, #JusticeforJenifer, #JusticeForUwa, #JusticeForTina described the menace as barbaric, urging security operatives to arrest the violators.

The ACOMORAN boss explained that, young girls and ladies have been violently molested, saying it is everyone's responsibility to ensure the dastard act stop.

He said, "this indecent, and barbaric act has been on for too long a time, and needs to be addressed now. Females, not only little girls or ladies has been attacked and violently molested at several places and times over the years.

"It has now become everyone's responsibility to make sure this halts. As a man, we have girls/ladies/women around us as colleagues, friends and family, most importantly, we are all born of a woman. So this is not with exception of anyone.

"The security agencies have taken to action, measures and intelligent moves to apprehend the perpetrators of Uwa's case and others. 

"While we urge those who has any valid information to aide the police job to bring it on in time, let's not be an accomplice by being mute when we notice, or we are informed or possibly caught in the act, anyone defiling any lady in an unusual and unpleasant manner and place."
