Afuape Condoles With Late Egba Chief Imam's Family At 8-Day Fidau Prayers

ABEOKUTA - The Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afolabi Afuape has commiserated with the entire family of late Alhaji Liadi Orunsolu, the Chief Imam of Egbaland.

The Commissioner, who described the Chief Imam as an upright, devoted and dedicated Muslim leader who has made his marks in all ramifications serving Allah and Muslim communities in Egbaland and its environs diligently while alive.

Afuape stated this on Monday at the 8-day fidau prayers for the late Chief Imam.

The commissioner said that the late Imam's administrative sagacity, humility and bravery had restored peace to Egba Muslim Community by mending fences and cracks. 

Afuape said the Muslim community in Ogun State would continue to miss his factual and bold delivery of the words of Allah from both the Qur’an and the Hadith, which has affected many lives positively.

He said Late Orunsolu would be remembered for his role in making peace accord works. 

He prayed that Allah forgives his shortcomings and grants him eternal rest in aljanah fridous and give the family fortitude to bear the loss.
