Daniel, who served as a two term Governor of the State under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party between 2003 - 2011 had announced his withdrawal from active politics and returned to his private business.

In his own submission, the Deputy Minority Whip, House of Representatives and lawmaker representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun waterside federal constituency, Hon.
