MAPOLY Backtracks, Suspends First Semester Examinations Till Monday


ABEOKUTA - Authorities of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta have suspended its ongoing first semester examinations for final years of the institution. 

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun state on Tuesday declared total closure of all schools in the state until Monday, 26th October, 2020.

The governor equally place a ban on operation of commercial motorcycles popularly known as Okada in the state following the endless EndSARS protest across the state.

But the Polytechnic's PRO, Yemi Ajibola on Tuesday however, said the first semester examinations would go as scheduled. 

The polytechnic's decision was greeted with criticisms and backlash from members of the public. 

However, the management said it has considered the pleas of students to be allowed to stay away in view of the protesters threat and has put the examinations away till Monday, 26th October, 2020.
