Lawmaker Commends Abiodun, Ogun Speaker For Reconstruction Of Bridges In Constituency


ABEOKUTA - The lawmaker representing Abeokuta South State Constituency 1, Hon. Temitope Adejojo has applauded the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo for the reconstruction of two collapsed bridges in his constituency. 


Adejojo gave the commendation during the Assembly's plenary session held on Tuesday at the hallowed chamber of the Assembly complex in Abeokuta. 


The two bridges located at Ijaiye and Iporo-Ake, according to him would decongest the heavy flow of traffic along Ijaiye-Iyana Mortuary and Isale-Ake to Lantoro areas of the state capital. 


He explained that, the Ijaiye bridge is almost near completion while the Iporo Ake bridge is yet to receive attention, urging the residents to remain calm with the government.


The lawmaker equally implored the governor to look into two roads which are not motorable in his constituency, the roads are car wash in Adatan and Saje roads.


He therefore called on the state government to get rid of mentally derailed persons on the streets of Abeokuta with a view to take them to rehabilitation centres. 



In his response, the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo called on the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development to immediately commence total evacuation of destitute away from highways in the state.
