Ogun Community Youths Honour Daktad CEO, TVC News Correspondent, Others


ABEOKUTA - Youths in Titi-Kondo, Eleja/Alagbayun village, Ewekoro local government, Ogun State have held a special appreciation Programme to celebrate people who have contributed to the development of the community and to mark the beginning of another year.


The Programme which was held at AJ Bar and Restaurant, Titi-Kondo Eleja/Alagbayun Village on Sunday, January 31st attracted dignitries from far and near.


Speaking about the significance of the event, the Community Youth Leader, Mr. Saheed Akintola said they appreciate the efforts of those who assisted the Community during the trying periods.


He commended the leadership of the community under Mr. Jubril Jaiyeola, as the Indigenous Community leader and Elder Adetokunbo Oladipo, as the CDA Chairman, for piloting the affairs of the community peacefully and diligently.


He highlighted three key areas of development which are Electricity, Security and Road Infrastructure. 


The Chairman of the Community Development Association, Elder Adetokunbo Oladipo on his part appreciates the support of the people for the CDA and pray for more development.



While reacting on behalf of the indigines, Mr. Jubril Jaiyeola who is popularly referred to as Baale in the Community commended the youth for their innovation.


He appealled to them to always preach Peace and Unity in the community, noting that the security of the community should be the collective responsibility of all.


'I am happy with what you are doing today and I am sure that our father, on whose land we are standing, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jacob Olufemi Omolade, the Olubara of Ibaraland will be very very happy with you'


'I want you to continue to work towards the development of this town, be in peace with your neighbors and ensure adequate security in this community, if you see something, say something, in order to assist the security agents' 


'We shall continue to work for the development of the town and I can assure you that the health centre shall be a reality.' He stated.


Other speakers at the event include the two former Chairmen of the CDA, Mr Taiwo Afolabi, Mr. Titus Oyeyinka and the Community Development Community Zonal Chairman, Mr. Lekan Adeyemi.


Notable personalities among those who were honoured at the event include the Chairman of the Ogun State Parks and Garages Development Agency,  Honourable Habeeb Ajayi, Television Continental State Correspondent, Mr. Kazeem Olowe, Chief (Mrs) Olatokunbo Adekunle and Mr. Dare Sonde of Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture.
