Juju Musicians Declare Support For D1 Adasy As Ogun AJUMN Chairman

Dayo Sofela Adasy

ABEOKUTA - Concerned Juju musicians in Ogun state have thrown their weight behind the candidature of Mr. Dayo Sofela popularly known as D1 Adasy as new Chairman of Association of Juju Musicians of Nigeria (AJUMN), Ogun State chapter.

Adasy is contesting to succeed the outgoing Chairman, Mr. Owolabi Samuel who spent a two term of six years in Office.

Speaking with THE ENCOUNTER NEWS, a former General Secretary of the association, Rotn.  Segun Sowunmi described Adasy as a reliable, competent and capable to lead the association.

Sowunmi also known as Omo Nla said Adasy would bring his managerial and administrative skills as Vice Principal in one of Ogun state secondary schools to paddle the affairs of the association.

The former scribe opined that, if Adasy eventually emerge as the Chairman, many members who have abandoned the association due to bad leadership would return.

He said, the association would be better led by a seasoned administrator than an illiterate with no defined job career.

"Many of us are supporting the emergence of D1 Adasy as the new chairman because, he is a senior officer in the Civil Service. He is currently a Vice Principal.

"He is Reliable, competent and Capable to lead the association. He has quality friends that will support his government after emergence. He will bring back old and new members back to the fold.

"Ajumn is full of elite and only elite can lead our association. People like me will go back to the association if we have quality like D1 Adasy", Sowunmi declares
