Air Pollution, Warm Climate Threats To Nigeria's Environmental Condition - NCEVECC Commander

ABEOKUTA - The Ogun state Commander, National  Community Ethics and Values Environmental Compliance Corps (NCEVECC), Obasanjo Onilu Johnson has noted that, invasive species, diseases, pollution and warm climate posed as threats to the environment. 

The NCEVECC Commander stated this at the passing out parade ceremony held in Abeokuta recently.

Onilu while delivering his speech added that, climate change threats put wild life population at risk.

He stressed further that the factors affecting human health are exposure to hazardous substances in the air, water, soil, and food.

According to the Commander, "The two major problems of our environmental challenge are; ignorance and unethical environmental misconduct"

"It is now important to design a strategic plan and enlighten the general public about the significant of protection and conversation of our indiscriminate release of pollution into the environment.

"For that reason NCEVECC as a Non-Government Organisation(NGO)request Ogun state government collaboration, support and progressive involvement in advancing the cause of National Ethics in the Ogun State" the commander said. 

He therefore appealed to the Ogun State government to collaborate with NCEVECC to achieve the organisation's goal and objective in the state. 

He enjoined the state government to help in empowering and deploying NCEVECC officers to all ministries and other governmental agency for proper functioning in the state.

He also solicited for the state government's support for financial and non-financial support to NCEVECC in order to save the environment for the benefit of human health and the ecosystems.
