Ifo LG Chairman, Kike Delano Promises Better Performance Within Six Months

ABEOKUTA - The new Chairman, Ifo local government area of Ogun state, Mrs. Kikelomo Delano, has promised to deliver beyond expectation within 6months in office.


Hon. Delano said she is not going to wait for three years before assessment, saying that within three months in office, the people of the local government will feel her impact.


She said she would make a good difference that will change the face of Ifo Local Government.


The chairman who spoke to journalists shortly after her inauguration by the State Governor, assured to engage the youths and women in capacity building.


“First of all, I want to return all the glory to God in heaven for giving us life, zeal and passionate drive to go about our ambitions in life. He started this journey with us, and he has led us to success.


“Words cannot describe how indebted I am to everyone that not only came out en mass to vote, but also for the felicitation messages I received prior/post-elections.


“It is a journey that we have set in motion collectively to give Ifo local government the ideal value it deserves and I want to say on this note that going forward, we’re going to deliver like never before for the interest of the entire people of Ifo local government.


“The leadership responsibilities has been handed over to us and with all humility, we’re accepting it to diligently enhance our progressive contributions towards the growth and development of Ifo land.


“Our party members, supporters and loyalists that never wavered their support during the campaign, the rallies we had and the constant positive response we got going into the elections, history beckons Ifo council for this great feat we have achieved together, it will reflect in our efforts to transform lives of every residents in our communities.”


She continued, "I am not going to wait for three years for any assessment, give me between a minimum of 6 months and one year that is the challenge I am going to give all my colleagues, they should give us minimum of 6 months, we are going to work on education, agriculture, health, security, on rural roads and economic development of our local area," she concluded.


Furthermore, she stated: “With a love heart full of gratitude, I say a big thank you to the great leadership of our party, the All Progressive Congress (APC); our leader and the Governor of Ogun State; Prince Dapo Abiodun and the Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Deputy Governor.


“Also, to the most distinguished Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kunle Oluomo and Hon. Adekunle Adeyemi."


She assured that she would not disappoint the people of the local government, adding that she will ensure dividends of democracy get to the doorstep of the people.
